Welcome to the
Albrighton Woodland Hunt
Established in 1908.
The Albrighton Woodland Hunt follow a traditional pack of foxhounds both on horseback and on foot. Currently hounds follow a laid trail.
The Hunt country lies between the River Severn and the urbanisation of Birmingham. It covers parts of Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands and runs 15 miles north to south and 25 miles east to west, bordering Birmingham, Stourbridge, Dudley and Halesowen to the East
Since the enactment of the Hunting Act 2004, the Hunt has adapted the way in which it operates so as to comply with the provisions of the Act. Until such time that this prejudiced piece of legislation is repealed, the Hunt will comply with its terms whilst continuing to draw attention to and protest about its shortcomings and unfairness.
This site will provide you with information about the Albrighton Woodland Hunt, our hounds and country.
You will also find more general information about hunting, its etiquette and how you can take part in what we do. The "New to Hunting" page will hopefully answer most of your questions, enable you to come out for a day and help you to make the most of your day's hunting.
The hunt provides a vital service to its equestrian and farming community through its fallen stock service . This includes the humane disposal of horses. For more information contact the Kennels. (See Contacts Page)
The Albrighton Woodland Hunt extends a warm welcome to visitors and new subscribers.
